Driving Instructions from Nelson or Castlegar:
From Nelson go towards Castlegar. From Castlegar go towards Nelson.
(you can bypass both towns on the highway if desired) Midway between Nelson and Castlegar is one and
only one stoplight. Turn north at this light onto highway six
towards New Denver and Slocan. You will go seven miles to the small
community of Slocan Park. From here, go two more miles and slow
down. Watch for a highway sign that says "Valhalla, Drinnon Pass,
400 meters." This will be your turn. You will also see a highway
sign for Upper Passmore Road, and for Valhalla Riversuites. Turn
left onto Upper Passmore Road and go about 300 meters. Look for
another Valhalla Riversuites sign and a three-story stucco building
on your left just before the bridge. This will be your home in the Valhallas.
Driving directions from Revelstoke:
Take highway 23 south 49 kilometers to ride the free Galena Bay ferry, and continue to Nakusp. Ferry information is at www.th.gov.bc.ca/marine/ferry_schedules.htm.) At Nakusp change to highway six towards New Denver, Silverton, Slocan, and Winlaw. (Do not go towards Faquier.) From Winlaw continue south on highway six approximately 12 kilometers. On a curving downhill slope, slow down when you see the Passmore Fire Hall on your right. Take the next right onto UPPER PASSMORE ROAD at the Valhalla Riversuites sign. Go about 300 meters and you'll see another Valhalla RIversuites sign and a three-story stucco building on your left. This will be your home in the Valhallas.
Driving instructions from Vernon.
Take highway six to Needles, and ride the free five-minute ferry to Faquier. (Ferry info at www.th.gov.bc.ca/marine/ferry_schedules.htm.) Continue on highway six through Nakusp, New Denver, Silverton, Slocan, and Winlaw. (two good restaurants at Winlaw.) From Winlaw continue south on highway six approximately 12 kilometers.
